kgmr - Migrate To Carnivora (2007)Self-released

The second album of kgmr was recorded two years after the debut in the following line-up: kgmr (piano, vocals), Bob Read (guitar, drums), Jon Mendez (drums) and David Walsh (additional guitar). The first release was mainly instrumental with a few vocal tracks there, however "Migrate To Carnivora" is filled with kgmr's singing on almost every track.

Her music is really unbelievable! The world we live in rolls faster than the speed of light, however they totally ignore it, haha! They play on instruments as if they were powerless. Obviously, it is not a negative critique. Actually, this is the specificity of the genre, so you have to dig into the field they act in order to grasp their music. Guitarists carry out experiments on their instruments, making kgmr's music minimalist, weird and freaky. The pace of their music runs counter to the tempo of the world. If you want to learn about the globe at slowed capacity, here it is!

I do admire these Americans. If I were in their shoes, I would probably fall asleep by the first few tones, haha. To be absolutely serious, I dare to describe "Migrate To Carnivora" as a progressive lullaby with chill-out vibe and bit grim mood. I understand why here aren't too much sunny intervals! Since instrumental clouds are typical of alternative music. I wonder what music is going to be recorded on kgmr's third up-coming CD called "Evening With Fallen Tree"? Its title indicates that kgmr will be faithful to her style. A diehard woman!
