Stephan Potgieter is a tenor singer from Australia, however originally came from South Africa. "Amigos Para Siempre" is his first solo album. The second and third ones are "Everlasting Light" (Christmas songs) and "He Was There All The Time" (devotional and worship music). Now I would like to present you the debut of this vocal virtuoso.

First of all, I must mention there are songs sang in many styles - from classical music, jazz, musical songs to romantic hits and so-called golden oldies. The first group is represented by "O Sole Mio" (Neapolitan famous song written in 1898), "Lascia Chio Pianga" (composed by Georg Friedrich Handel) and "Amigos Para Siempre" (by Jose Carreras). A reference to jazz music is Nat King Cole's "When I Fall In Love". A classic golden oldies are Josh Groban's "You're Still You", The Corrs' "All The Love In The World" and Jim Reeves' "Moonlight And Roses". The musical songs are represented by "Edelweiss" and "You'll Never Walk Alone". They were originally written by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II for two musicals - "The Sound of Music" (1959) and "Carousel" (1945).

Since Stephan's vocal parts are magic, all the tracks are moving and romantic. His precious voice is additionally emphasized by a crystal production. Stephan shows his perfect modulation and vibrato with ease. Upon listening to "Path To My Heart", I recollected Trans-Siberian Orchestra's excellent works. Aforesaid track is the only one with electric guitar parts and does remind me of Trans-Siberian Orchestra. Many composiitons are performed in solemn and wonderful mood. On the card I got from Stephan is written an adequate desciption of his output: "His voice together with red wine, candlelight and crystal are the perfect combination". Yes, I agree with this opinion. I think that listening to his music by fireplace and snowing outside would provide us with the greatest and unforgettable impressions. Stephan can sing both golden oldies, contemporary songs, easy listening tunes and classical music as well. He is a representative of vocal virtuosity on world's level and creates the music for life in peace and happiness. Feel free to play "Amigos Para Siempre" every winter evening and you'll surely get what I mean.
